I used to redo this beat so much in my teen years. 2 things i miss about rap back then; the way rappers would re-rap the song to make it clean for the radio, rather than just blanking out damn near every word; and how they used to make the CD version longer, seeing that this song has a 3rd verse on the al, and the beat rides out for a couple of bars. I remember UGK did it with Back Front Back and Side 2 Side. It made it exciting to get the CD. 😢 DOWN SOUTH!!!

Bought this on cassette when it came out, I might have been 10 or 11. This song was my easy favorite, growing up in Northern New Hampshire any hip hop I could get my hands on, whether it be dubbing my cousins from Boston's cassettes, or every Tuesday going to the local radio shack where they would have a couple CDs, or Ames where they might have a couple hip hop cassettes in there with mix of country and rock. It was a different time, who used to watch the box and call in trying to get our favorite videos seen. What a simple time to be a child. So awesome.
